Author’s Notes: I have attempted to write original fiction before, but never with the intention of writing something so close to my heart. For the most part, I consider fan fiction a form of escapism and I wouldn’t dream of writing about anything so personal without disguising it with characters and storylines that differentiate it from my own life. I don’t know if my heart will be able to take it (I cry at almost anything). This is the first time I have written Chris and I wish I could write a happier ficlet for him.

They both try to get underneath each other’s skin and understand what problems the other is dealing with. Maxxie is faced with the task of removing Cassie’s make-up after the party and he is granted a rare chance to see her a little more clearly.
A/N: I enjoyed writing the little Maxxie and Cassie part to my last fic. This piece is set after Russia and before the last fic, ‘Hazy Days’. I plan this to be a two-part fic and the second half will focus more on Cassie.

Summary: This is a collection of four drabbles, one for each character, based around Veronica’s graduation day and how Veronica and Lincoln came to be together on that day. There is reference to Michael’s relationship with his brother and also his relationship with Veronica. Sara has not yet come into the group. She is in medical school, spending late nights with her anatomy texts. She is tired and wondering if being a doctor is really the right career for her. She becomes engrossed in her reading and believes she will eventually find her path in life.
A/N: These were written for smudged_sanity’s birthday. I’m more than a bit late posting them, but hopefully she will like them. They don’t have a birthday theme, but I thought that because she is about to go through an important rite of passage of her own, these might be a nice present.
